HSBC Climate Initiative – 2012

Last week the eco-committee along with a large number of volunteers managed to complete the HSBC Climate Initiative project.  The plan was to use an area of grass behind the canteen to create a path and seven raised beds to be used for a range of planting activities by each of the foundation classes.  Thanks to our funding from HSBC and help from Siobhan Moran, our HSBC volunteer, we were able to complete this initiative.  It involved a lot of digging and building.  All of the eco-committee and volunteers worked very hard and we were all delighted with the final result.  We hope to develop this are further to create a unique outdoor classroom for use by the whole school.
