Ancient Egypt in Year 5
Year 5 have been learning all about Ancient Egypt for their World Around Us topic this term. We have taken part in lots of fun activities:
- Making cartouches with Play Doh
- Writing our names in hieroglyphics using sgraffito
- Mummifying a tomato experiment
- Making Egyptian boats and carrying an experiment to find out if they float
- Using an ‘Egyptian keyboard’ to type messages to our classmates
- Acting out the creation of Egypt
