Sea Safety with RNLI
28th May 2026
KS2 enjoyed an important and engaging assembly on sea safety today. They learned why choosing a lifeguarded beach is so important, how to recognise different beach flags and what to do if caught in a rip current, including swimming parallel to the shore. They also practised the “Float to Live” technique. A big thank you to Oliver and Connolly for sharing these essential life saving skills.
Eco School
Welcome to Our Eco-Schools Journey!
At Our Lady of Lourdes P.S, we care about the planet and want to make a difference! That’s why we are part of the Eco-Schools NI programme, where children lead the way in helping our school become greener and more sustainable. From recycling and saving energy to planting flowers and protecting wildlife, we work together to look after our world.
We are very proud to have already earned five Green Flags, and now we’re working hard towards our 6th Green Flag award! Everyone can play a part—pupils, teachers, and families—because small changes make a big difference.
Join us as we learn, explore, and take action to keep our school and community eco-friendly!
