Our pupils had a fantastic time taking part in an exciting cookery demonstration with Arlene from LMC, who showed them how to make a tasty Chilli Beef Pasta using fresh ingredients and Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured beef. The children loved watching the dish being prepared and learning how simple ingredients can be turned into a healthy meal.
During the session, pupils learned about where their food comes from, the importance of healthy eating and how to stay safe and hygienic in the kitchen. Everyone was keen to ask questions and get involved throughout the demonstration.
At the end of the session, pupils were delighted to try the food and take home a recipe cookbook, so they can try out the recipes again with their families. We are also looking forward to further cookery demonstrations for our other Year 6 classes, which will be taking place soon.
The demonstration was provided by LMC, who have been supporting schools for many years by helping pupils learn more about food, farming and nutrition in a fun and engaging way. Thank you for this great opportunity for our pupils.
