How to Catch a Star
As part of their digital storytelling work, our Year 7 pupils have been exploring the much loved book 'How to Catch a Star,' by Oliver Jeffers. Using iMovie, they created their own moving-image versions of the story, complete with hand drawn illustrations and thoughtful narration.
After completing their projects, Year 7 were delighted to share their finished films with Year 3, who have been studying the same story for World Book Day. The younger pupils were captivated by the imaginative artwork and creative retellings, and enjoyed seeing a familiar book brought to life in a new way.
This cross-year collaboration was a wonderful opportunity for the children to connect through storytelling, creativity, and digital media. A big well done to Year 7 for their hard work—and thank you to Year 3 for being such enthusiastic viewers!
