Year 6 pupils used their developing geographical skills to confidently locate Ireland on a map of Europe and the British Isles. They applied their understanding of compass directions, scale, and map symbols to identify key features. Pupils explored the counties and major cities of Ireland, using atlases and digital maps to recognise patterns in location and place. Through this, they built a clearer understanding of Ireland’s geography and how its regions are organised.
