Some classes took part in an important learning session about rail safety, helping them understand how to stay safe near railways. As part of the Rail Safe Friendly Programme, delivered in partnership with Translink, the children watched an engaging video combining animation and live action scenes to highlight key dangers around the railway.
The session introduced Translink’s “Rail Cool Rules” and explored eight essential safety themes: yellow lines, platform safety, getting on and off services, objects on tracks, respect onboard, level crossings, construction sites and train speed.
