WW2 Visit

Year 4 enjoyed a visit from Belfast City Council today to learn more about WW2. The children learnt about 'Dig for Victory' and the importance and benefits of growing vegetables during the war. George also spoke to the children about recycling and they got to make their own bunting using a recycled banner. We all had a lot of fun!

Welcome to Our Eco-Schools Journey!
At Our Lady of Lourdes P.S, we care about the planet and want to make a difference! That’s why we are part of the Eco-Schools NI programme, where children lead the way in helping our school become greener and more sustainable. From recycling and saving energy to planting flowers and protecting wildlife, we work together to look after our world.

We are very proud to have already earned five Green Flags, and now we’re working hard towards our 6th Green Flag award! Everyone can play a part—pupils, teachers, and families—because small changes make a big difference.

Join us as we learn, explore, and take action to keep our school and community eco-friendly!
