Guided by the Northern Ireland Curriculum, ICT is one of the three statutory Cross-Curricular Skills, alongside Communication and Using Mathematics.

What is "Using ICT" in the NI Curriculum?

The curriculum is structured around the 5 ‘E’s:

• Explore – Pupils investigate and solve problems using digital tools.
• Express – Pupils creatively present ideas using text, sound, images, and multimedia.
• Exchange – Pupils communicate and collaborate online.
• Evaluate – Pupils reflect on their digital work and processes.
• Exhibit – Pupils manage and showcase their work digitally.
